Accurate models of the EQ Klangfilm RZ062 vintage equalizer module. Two plugins for music production and mastering.

Both RZ062 plugins provide a pleasant vintage warmth and amazing presence for your vocals, instruments and entire mixes.

The RZ062 equalizer was developed in Germany almost 60 years ago for installation in mixing consoles together with the U73b compressors and other ingenious modules of the time. They were used in European studios to perform frequency modification of recorded audio to eliminate unwanted studio acoustics. But their complex circuits bring something much more interesting than just basic equalization: incredibly subtle coloration of the sound that is so highly prized in modern recording projects.

RZ062: completely different. Instead of the colorful graphic interface of modern equalizers, the RZ adds wonderful color to the audio material. The change in harmonics created by the tube is combined with the change in the spectrum corrected by the equalizer. Everything is accurately modeled, including these unique characteristics.

RZ062a: The RZ062a and RZ062b modules differ in the purpose of the central knob. In the A-module, the middle knob rotates the entire frequency response around the center point (650 Hz). At the same time, while the bass frequencies are raised, the high frequencies are attenuated.

RZ062b: The B-module is more complex. Its knob allows you to select one of four frequencies (1.4, 2, 2.8 and 4 kHz) and simultaneously adjust their gain. This parameter helps your audio material to stand out very softly and moderately.

R2R Note

* Our release uses fewer resources, especially if you run multiple instances of the plugins. This also solves a minor glitch with the Audified license between threads.
* The plugin has a LexActivator emulator, which returns information about a valid license to the program and handles the callback system. This also prevents writing invalid data to the registry (LexActivator error).
